Christian Medical College, Vellore, in the year 2000, completed 100 years of service in the healing ministry. The celebration of the centenary year has given us many opportunities for thanksgiving to God and to all who have contributed to the growth of the mission and work of our institution. It has also enabled us to reflect on the values that have sustained the work through many challenging times and situations. There has been a renewal of the commitment first demonstrated by our Founder, Dr. Ida Scudder, to provide education, and service of the highest quality, in the spirit of Christ.
