H.R. college of commerce & Economics occupies pride of place on Mumbai's academic map. Established in June 1960, it made a modest beginning with about 500 students on its rolls. Men of vision and dedication with foresight and determination moulded and developed the growth of the institution. It has attained such popularity and repute that it has reached the maximum strength permitted by the University - close to 2500 in the Senior College and and nearly 2800 in the Junior College.
