Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT) was started in the Year 1963 by Sree Siddaganga Education Society headed by Dr.Sree Sree Sivakumara Swamiji, President,Sree Siddaganga Math. Sree Siddaganga Math, which has a glorious history of 600 years, is striving for cultural, spiritual and sociological upliftment of rural masses and also for the betterment of poor and destitute children, by providing free food, shelter and education for more than 8000 children, irrespective of cast and creed , thus moulding them to become responsible and useful citizens of the country.
