Eligibility for AIEEE

The AIEEE Exam is conducted to admit students to some of the top institutions in the country like IIT’s, NIT’s and other state level engineering colleges. The entrance in to these colleges purely depends in the rank secured by the participant in the AIEEE exam. The students who have secured high score will get an admission call from most of the renowned colleges in India.

The Eligibility Criteria required to apply for the All India Engineering Entrance Exam is a pass in the intermediate exam in Science stream from a recognized institute. It is compulsory that the students should have studied PCM in the 10+2 exam. Aspirants who have secured 50% in the qualifying exam are eligible for the entrance test. The percentage requirement is only 40% for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates.

Qualifying Examinations for AIEEE

Those who have completed the qualifying exam through any of these modes can apply for the AIEEE Exam. Aspirants who have done the 10+2 pattern of exam from the National or State level Board of SE or the two-year program of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defense Academy are eligible. Aspirants who have completed the H.S.C. Vocational Examination or Senior Secondary School Examination carried out by the National Open School can also apply for the test. Those who have done the 3 or 4-year polytechnic course certified by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education are also eligible for the exam.

Age Qualification for AIEEE

Aspirants aged between 17 – 25 years can only apply for the AIEEE. There is five years age relaxation for the SC, ST and PH candidates.

Eligibility for the Foreign Nationals/NRI/PIO for AIEEE

The eligibility required for Foreign Nationals / PIO’s / NRI’s is that they are required to pass the senior secondary exam with an aggregate of 60%. Indian nationals who are staying overseas should have pursued 5 years course including 10+1 and 10+2 abroad. They should have studied the same in the country during the preceding eight years.

Scholarship program for Diaspora Children for AIEEE

The Diaspora Children are given Scholarships for studying in India through the AIEEE. There are 100 seats allotted for these students. Among that, 50 seats are allotted to NRI’s and remaining 50 seats for PIO’s.
