IBPS 2012 CWE for PO/MT Recruitment

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has made another important announcement for conducting a Common Written Examination (CWE) for recruitment of Probationary Officers/Management Trainees in 19 Public Sector Banks. The CWE for PO/MT posts will be conducted twice a year by IBPS. The written examination will be conducted by IBPS on Sunday, June 17, 2012.

About Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS)

IBPS has been authorized by Indian Banks' Association and has received mandates to conduct these exams. The journey of this institute began in 1975, just after nationalization of banks, as Personnel Selection Services (PSS), a unit of National Institute of Bank Management (NIBM). The objective was to develop an unbiased and efficient system for recruitment, promotion and placement services. In 1984 this unit became an independent entity – Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) at the behest of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Public Sector Banks.

Eligibility Criteria:-

  • A candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • Age limit as on 01.01.2012 - minimum: 20years & maximum: 30years
  • A degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
  • Relaxation of Upper age limit:
    • For SC/ST - 5years
    • For OBC - 3years
    • For PWD - 10years

The above tests except the Test of English Language and Descriptive Paper on English Composition will be printed bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.

Application Fee: -

  • The Application fees is Rs. 450/- for general category and Rs. 50/- for (SC/ST/PWD). (Payable from 09.03.2012 to 30.03.2012 (Online payment) and 12.03.2012 to 07.04.2012 (Offline payment) both dates inclusive).
  • Candidates have the option of remitting fees via on-line mode or off-line mode

How to Apply:-

  • All eligible candidates should apply on-line through the link provided www.ibps.in.
  • Candidates must have a valid personal email ID, which should be kept active till the declaration of Results of this round of CWE. IBPS may send call letters Written Examination etc. through the registered e-mail ID.
  • Application, after filling up all the mandatory fields and security check box, should be submitted by a click on the “submit” button.
  • After completing the procedure of applying on-line including payment of fees, the candidate should take a printout of the system generated on-line application form 3days after fee payment, ensure the particulars filled in are accurate and retain it along with Registration Number and Password for future reference. They should not send this printout to the IBPS/ Banks.
  • An online application which is incomplete in any respect such as without photograph and signature uploaded in the online application form will not be considered as valid.
