Uttar Bihar Gramin Bank invites applications from Indian citizens, for the post of Officer in Middle Management Grade (Scale III), Officer in Middle Management Grade (Scale II), Officer in Junior Management (Scale I) Cadre and Office Assistant (Multipurpose). Proposed dates for written examination are on 18.03.2012 (For Officers) and 4.03.2012 (For Office Assistants).

Uttar Bihar Gramin Bank sponsored by Central Bank of India, is one of the largest regional rural bank in India in terms of branch network, staff strength and area. UBGB has its head office in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. Now area of operation of Uttar Bihar Gramin Bank shall be in the districts of Araria, Katihar, Kishanganj, Darbhanga, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Madhepura, Madhubani, Muzaffarpur, purnea, saharsa, saran, sheohar, sitamarhi, siwan, supaul, west champaran and vaishali in the state of bihar.

Vacancies:-

  • Office Assistant – 406 posts
  • Officer (scale I) – 268 posts
  • Scale II – 121 posts & Scale III – 7 posts

Eligibility Criteria:-

  • Officer MMGS-III - (21 years - 40 years). Degree in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks. (Experience required - minimum five years experience as an officer in any bank or financial institution.
  • Officer MMG Scale-II - (21 years - 32 years)
    • For Officer MMG Scale-II – IT Officer - degree in electronics / communication /computer science/ information technology with minimum 50% aggregate marks. Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP, etc. is desirable (Not necessary although!). Experience: One year.
    • For Officer MMG Scale-II – Law Officer - Degree in Law or its equivalent with minimum 50% aggregate marks. Experience: Two years.
    • For Officer MMG Scale-II – Marketing Officer - MBA in Marketing and Experience of One year.
    • For Officer MMG Scale-II – Agriculture Officer- Degree in any of agriculture, horticulture, dairy, forestry, animal husbandry, veterinary science, agriculture engineering, with minimum 50% aggregate marks. Experience: Two years.
    • For Officer MMG Scale-II – Treasury Manager - Chartered Accountant or MBA in finance with experience of one year.
    • For Officer MMG Scale-II – General Banking Officer- Degree with a minimum 50% aggregate marks. Experience: Two years.
  • Officer JMGS-I - (18 years - 28 years) (No Experience required).
    • Bachelor degree in any discipline or its equivalent.
    • Proficiency in Hindi language is required and computer knowledge is considered an additional qualification.
  • Office Assistant (Multipurpose) - (18 years - 28 years)( No Experience required )
    • Bachelor degree in any discipline or its equivalent.
    • Proficiency in Hindi language is required and computer awareness will be an added qualification.

How to Apply: -

  • The Application fees is Rs. 400/- for general category and Rs. 50/- for (SC/ST/PWD).
  • Candidates have to apply through online from www.ubgb.in website.
  • Before apply online, candidates pay the fee in the form of challan downloaded from website between 28/12/2011 to 27/01/2012
  • Enter Branch Code and Branch Transaction Journal Number of challan in appropriate place on application.
  • After submission of online application, candidates take a print out of the online application; a recent passport size photograph should be pasted on the application form at given place and sign across.
  • Candidates should note/remember the registration number and password for future reference and use
  • The modification facility shall be available after 2 days of registration up to 29/01/2012, the modification will be allowed only 3 times.

Selection Procedure: -

The selection of the candidates shall be on the basis of written test and interview. Written test will be of objective type consisting of-

For Post Codes 01 and 02 (Officer Scale – III and Officer Scale- II)-

  • Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation, Financial Awareness and either one of General English and General Hindi. Each part having 50 questions and a total time of 150 mins for 200 questions.


For Post Codes 03 and 04 (Officer Scale – I and Office Assistant)-

  • Reasoning, Numerical Ability, General awareness, and either one of General English and General Hindi. Each part having 50 questions and a total time of 150 mins for 200 questions.
