About CAT Online Test

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) conducts the Common Admission Test (CAT) every year for admission to various management programs offered at the IIMs and other top B-schools in the country. Nearly 300,000 thousand aspirants appear for the online CAT exam for around 2,500 seats. The CAT aptitude test 2013 will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore. The Common Aptitude Test 2013 will be conducted from Wednesday, October 16, 2013 to Monday, November 11, 2013.

From 2009 onwards, IIM CAT became an online test. The candidates can take the CAT online test at any of the designated test centers. The online test for CAT is designed to evaluate the management aptitude of a student by testing his analytical and communication skills. It demands up to three to four months of intense preparation.

The registration of the CAT online test can be done on the CAT official website only. However, before registering online for the CAT exam, the candidates are required to purchase a CAT voucher from selected branches of Axis Bank.

The CAT exam online assesses the candidates on their management aptitude by testing their analytical and communication skills. To excel in the online CAT test, the candidates should prepare well in advance. There are many free sample online CAT test material available online that will allow the candidate to prepare well for the CAT entrance exam.

To be eligible for the CAT test online, the candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in any specialization with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates belonging to the reserved categories are given 5% relaxation of marks.
