Paper Pattern for CAT Entrance Test

The Indian Institute of Management conducts the Common Admission Test (CAT) for admissions to into postgraduate and fellow management programs. Common Admission Test is the entrance exam for management courses in many of the top business schools including the IIMs.

This year, CAT 2014 will have a new question paper pattern as it has already been announced. The students can check for the following changes. The Common Aptitude Test will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2014 and Saturday, November 22, 2014.

Paper Pattern for the CAT 2014:

· Duration of the examination has been increased to 170 minutes from the existing limit of 140 minutes.

· Questions in each section, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning have been increased to 50 in each section from the existing 30 questions.

· Candidates have the flexibility for devoting more or less time to each section according to their ability and they can switch over from one section to another section for the duration of the examination.

· Tutorial to understand the format of the examination will not be available before the start of the examination. Candidates are advised to do the tutorials, from the website well in advance.
