The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a national level test conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). The CAT entrance exam is conducted for taking admission to the management programs offered at the IIMs and other top B-schools of the country. The CAT 2012 will be conducted by IIM – Kozhikode. Admission to the management courses in around 130 other B-Schools is also done based on the CAT India examination.

The IIM CAT 2012 exam will be held from Thursday, October 11, 2012 to Tuesday, November 6, 2012.

The CAT India exam is conducted annually and is one of the most popular exams in the country. Nearly 300,000 students take up the CAT entrance exams every year for around 2,650 seats. Eligibility Criteria for CAT India Exam 2012:

The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) awarded from a recognized university.

Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting Results can also apply.

How to apply for the MBA CAT exam 2012:

Before registering and scheduling for the IIM CAT exam, you will need to purchase a CAT 2012 voucher from any of the selected Axis Bank branches between July 30, 2012 and September 17, 2012.

Interested candidates can register between July 30, 2012 to September 19, 2012.

Paper pattern for CAT MBA Entrance 2012:

The MBA CAT 2012 exam will be computer-based test with two sections with separate time limits.

There will be 30 questions in each section.

Each of the sections will be one hour and ten minutes
