CBSE to decentralize examinations

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has decided to decentralize the examination pattern throughout the country. This decision is taken in an attempt to improve the quality of education in India.

Sources from CBSE revealed that the exams will be conducted by the schools in the state. The Board will provide a set of standard question papers with 70 to 75 questions to the local paper setter who will have to choose questions from these standard papers. The answers will be evaluated by the local authorities, but the final Results and certificates will be issued by the CBSE.
