All CBSE and ICSE board schools are buzzing with parents and students seeking admissions in Plus 2 level. However, it is interesting to note that most students this year are opting for CBSE board instead of ICSE.
The CBSE board, according to many students is a lot easier to score and helps them to prepare for medical and engineering entrance tests.
In Ranchi, St.Xavier's School and Bishop Westcott Boys School affiliated to the ICSE board is in a full swing with the admission process.
St.Xavier's School is offering 100 seats for science stream and students who have secured 75% in the ICSE class X board exam and 80% in the CBSE board exam will be eligible to obtain the admission forms. Students above 85% will be eligible for direct admissions.
As for the commerce stream, students with 75% and above will get direct admissions into the stream, while the cutoffs for ICSE students is 65% and 70% for CBSE and other board students. 55 seats are up for grabs.
In Bishop Westcott Boys School, the cutoff is at 70% for science and 60% for commerce stream.
Students with 90% and above in class X can obtain direct admissions to St.Thomas School which offers arts at Class XII level form 2011.Students who have secured 85% can also obtain the admission forms.
Loreto Convent will be conducting the entrance exam on May 25 and on May 28 the school will publish the cutoff list for admission.
As for Delhi Public School, students with 91% can get a direct admission in science and those with 81% can secure admissions into commerce stream.
Kairali School has decided only to take direct admissions. The cut off for science is 90% while for commerce its 80%.
