LBS Centre for Science and Technology invites application
The LBS Centre for Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, has invited applications for admission to regular fulltime professional degree courses including B.Sc. nursing, B.Sc. (MLT), BPT, B.Pharm., B.Sc. (optometry) and Pharm. D. conducted in the government and self-financing colleges.
Duration of Pharm. D. course is five years and for all other courses it is four years. Both government and management seats are available for admission.Application forms will be distributed from April 16 onwards.
Eligibility: For admission to B.Sc. nursing, B.Sc. (MLT), B.Sc. (optometry), BPT courses, applicants should have passed Plus Two with at least 50 per cent marks in biology and 50 per cent marks in physics , chemistry and biology put together.
For admission to B.Pharm. course, applicants should have passed Plus Two with at least 50 per cent marks in biology/ mathematics / biotechnology/ computer science separately and 50 per cent marks in physics, chemistry and biology / mathematics / biotechnology / computer science put together.
For admission to Pharm. D. course, the applicant should have passed Plus Two with at least 50 per cent marks in biology / mathematics separately and 50 per cent marks in physics, chemistry and biology / mathematics put together or diploma with minimum of 50 per cent marks in D.Pharm. examination.
Those who have appeared for Plus Two examination and are awaiting Results are also eligible to apply. Applicants should have completed 17 years of age as on the 31 December2010. There is no upper age limit.
How to apply?
There is only a single application form for applying for admission to all the courses mentioned above. However separate application forms are available for general and SC/ ST applicants.
Application fee for general candidate is Rs. 500 and for SC/ ST candidates it is Rs.250.
Application forms, prospectus and acknowledgement card can be obtained from the head post offices in Kerala on payment of the prescribed application fee.
Candidates can also get application form by post by sending a requisition letter along with a demand draft from a nationalised bank for Rs.550 drawn in favour of the Director, LBS Centre for Science and Technology payable at Thiruvananthapuram to the following address : The Director, LBS Centre for Science and Technology, Extra Police Road, Nandavanam, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram – 695033.
Application forms will be distributed from 16 April to 7 May 2010. Application number and security key are provided in the acknowledgement card.
