With B-schools objecting to CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) and AICTE stuck on conducting CMAT, the least that was expected out of AICTE was to commit such a major blunder in the CMAT trial test. AICTE’s official website - www.aicte-cmat.in announced that online CMAT trial tests will be available from December 12, Monday. However, no CMAT test was available online even after 2 days. Only on December 14, the trial test became functional for the students.

Minglebox accessed the CMAT trial test on December 15, 12:30 p.m. and found out that none of the questions were related to the defined sections of the test, namely General Knowledge (GK), Logical Reasoning (LR), Data Interpretation (DI), Verbal and Quantitative Ability (QA). The CMAT trial test consisted of 10 questions and surprisingly all 10 questions were based on corporate finance.  

APTECH is executing the CMAT Trial Test and the blunder seems to be made at their end but AICTE officials have to be equally blamed since they did not even bother to check whether the right test has been put by APTECH or not.

It’s been almost a day but no one from AICTE seems to notice this issue. The students who wanted to get an idea about the CMAT question paper pattern and took the test suffered the most since the trial test was not based on any section of CMAT.
