Common Management Admissions Test (CMAT) will enable institutes to select suitable students for their post-graduate management programs. The exam typically lasts for about 3 hours and has multiple choice questions. CMAT will be conducted from Sunday, May 19, 2013 to Wednesday, May 22, 2013. Nearly, 2, 50,000 students will take CMAT at test centers based all across India.

Paper Pattern for CMAT 2013 –

The CMAT will be a 3-hours online exam. The exam will consist of 4 sections - Quantitative Techniques, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, Data Interpretation and General Awareness. Each section will contain 25 questions of total 100 marks. There will be a negative marking system where 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

There shall be negative marking for wrong answers, for each wrong answer 1 mark shall be deducted. The Duration of exam will be 180 minutes.  A Trial test will be available from 1st Nov. onwards for the candidates to have a feel of the online test and navigation functionality. Candidates are advised to go through them carefully to familiarize themselves with the screens, layout, and navigation.

At the test venue, each candidate will be seated at a desk with a computer terminal and he/she will be provided with a scratch paper for calculations. After the test, candidate must leave the scratch paper at the desk. Rough work cannot be done on any other paper/sheet, as nothing will be allowed inside the testing room. No breaks will be given during the test.
