The DIET-CET 2012 is conducted by the Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh. The District Institutes of Education and Training Common Entrance Test (DIET-CET) is conducted for taking admission to the two years Diploma in Education (D.Ed.) in Government District Institutes of Educational Training (DIETs) and Private Elementary Teacher Training Institutions in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

The paper will be conducted in three parts and the questions will be based on the syllabus of class VIII to X of A.P State. The test will be conducted in all 23 districts of Andhra Pradesh.

Paper Pattern for DIET-CET 2012:

• The paper will be conducted in three parts. There will be 200 questions totally and each question carries one mark making it a total of 200 marks.
• Part 1 will have five questions each on General Knowledge; and Teaching Aptitude.
• Part 2 will have ten questions on General English and 20 questions on Telugu/Urdu/Tamil.
• Part 3 will have ten questions each on Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences and twenty questions each on Mathematics and Social Studies.
• The subject and syllabi of the test shall be of the standard of classes VIII to X of A.P. State Syllabus for Part-II &Part III of the test.
• Question paper shall be in Telugu/English or Urdu/English and Tamil/English only.
• No requests for re-totaling of marks, revaluation of answer scripts or personal identification of answer scripts will be entertained.
