IIT-I (Indian Institute of Technology-Indore) has got permission from the executive council of DAVV to continue to operate from the rented campus of IET till 2015 end.
The first meeting of executive council (EC) headed by the new vice-chancellor concluded smoothly and some decisions were taken by the council for the benefit of students and university. The council members gave nod to M Phil and PhD ordinance. With this clearance exam notification is expected to be announced in August.
In another major advancement, council agreed for signing a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) to facilitate workshops, internships, faculty development and projects.
The meeting also took up the issue regarding delay in work for making the institute paperless. The work was assigned to Wipro for which it has been warned to act else strict actions will be taken against it.
