NIT-K students design a Formula car This is a light weight car which is expected to yield better Results. The weight has been restricted below 250 kgs and new carbon has been used to offer better acceleration and high fuel efficiency. The NIT-K team headed by Sachin Kamath is the only Indian team participating in the event. The car was built in 10 months time and uses a Honda CRB 600 cc engine to run. The top speed is 100 km per hour. The project was completed at a total cost of about Rs 46 lakh. About 25 students from 2nd, 3rd and final year BTech course will participate in the event, while Vinay Damodaran will be the driver.
