Major IT companies, which include TCS, Wipro, Cognizant and Mindtree, will now be recruiting junior-level talent and interns from German campuses.
Inorder to strengthen their base in Europe and to create a more diverse pool of talent, these companies have signed up for Prof Karl Kurbel's “ Vibe” programme at the University of Frankfurt Oder and Value Leadership Group, offshore advisory firm, headed by Peter Schumacher which provides 50 German students with a paid internship every year.
This programme will enable the German students to work for a period of three months in India as interns, after which, they will work in Germany itself at an offshore site. Vibe programme will give the interns first hand global delivery experience and also provide for cross-cultural understanding which is of utmost importance to graduates in computer science
Indian IT firms will be using this programme to gain more outsourcing business and understand local industries from this region as most German firms lack talent in Information Technology.
