Candidates taking GRE (Graduate Record Examinations) will now get an option to choose the latest GRE test score before registering to universities. Candidates can use the latest GRE score from the test scores of past 5 years and apply to top B-schools across the globe.
ETS (Educational Testing Service), the conducting body of GRE declared on Monday, July 2, 2012 that the option to select scores has been made available from July 2, 2012.
Candidates can use the best test score for sending to their desired institutes. On the day of test, while checking the scores at the center, students can choose the ‘Score Select Most Recent’ option to send their scores. And to send all the test scores of last five years, they can select ‘Score Select All’ option. Candidates need not pay for any of these services.
For instance, if a students’ wants to get into either Yale or Harvard University and wants to send his/her latest scores only to Harvard then they can select ‘Most Recent’ option and Harvard will be able to view only the recent scores of the candidate. For Yale University, if a student want to send all 3 score then they can click ‘all’ option and Yale will see all the scores of the candidate.
Candidates appearing for paper-based GRE revised General Test or a Subject Test will be required to choose their option before the test day. The idea to allow candidates to select their scores would help them to take the test with more confidence.
