Gujarat Board supplementary exams for HSC and SSC to begin from July 12, 2012
GSHSEB (Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board) will conduct supplementary exams for HSC and SSC general stream and science stream from July 12, 2012. About 2 lakh candidates will take the supplementary exams which are conducted for students who could not qualify in one or two subjects.
Many students have complained that the hall tickets issued do not bear complete address of the exam center. It just mentions the name of the school without the location.
In the mean time, GSHSEB officials revealed that about 1.27 lakh students will take the supplementary exam for class X. Nearly 60,000 HSC (general) stream students will re-appear for the exam while 20,000 HSC (science) students will be taking the exam.
Candidates of HSC (science) and SSC can appear for 2 supplementary papers while HSC (general) stream students will be allowed to appear only for 1 subject.
This year, the board witnessed maximum number of students failing in maths subject particularly in Class 10 and HSC (science).
