The course deals with training young students with basic as well as higher education regarding the hotel industry. The ever growing Hotel Industry holds huge opportunities for the youth of today. BHM provides a very challenging career to the person who possesses this degree. Eligibility Criteria:-

Any candidate who has passed HSC (10 + 2) exam from any stream with English as passing subject and secured minimum 45% marks at 12 STD.

Course Duration:

The course duration of BHM is generally Three years.Depending on the college you choose the course duration may be even 4 years.

Some of the common subjects studied would be Food Production & Patisserie, Food & Beverage Service, Front Office Operation, Accommodation Operation, Application of Computers, Hotel Engineering, Hotel Accounts, Business Communication, French, Food Science & Nutrition, Information System, Human Resource Management, Food & Beverage Management, Sales & Marketing, Facility Planning, Financial Management, Hotel Law, Business Policy, Business Communication, and Economics & Tourism.

Career Scope:-

Globally, hotel industry offers a wide spectrum of employment opportunities from highly trained managers, specialized chefs, sales and marketing wizards to guest relations executives in sectors like hotels, resorts, restaurants, industrial catering, airline, shipping and passenger cruise industry, hospitals, educational institutions etc.

Also there are lots of well-paid and interesting openings for hotel management graduates in various fields like: hotel and restaurant management, airline catering and cabin services, club management, cruise ship hotel management, hospital administration and catering, hotel and tourism associations, forest lodges, guest houses, Institutional Management (supervising canteens in college, schools, in factories, company guest houses etc.), catering departments of railways, banks, armed forces, shipping companies, hotel and catering institutes and self employment.





Remuneration:-

After finishing the bachelor's course in Hotel Management, a graduate is commonly taken as a trainee. After successful completion of training, they may be absorbed in positions with an average salary of Rs 7,000 to Rs 10,000.
