What is LSAT?

Law School Admission Council (LSAC) has announced the exam dates for Law School Admission Test (LSAT 2014), which will be conducted in May 2014. The LSAT exam will be held on Sunday, May 18, 2014. LSAT-India is a standardized test of reading and verbal reasoning skills designed by the USA based LSAC for use by law schools in India. The LSAT-India will be administered across 16 cities in India. The test will be administered in a paper and pencil format.

Eligibility Criteria for LSAT Exam 2014 –

  • All registrants who complete the test registration, pay the test fee in a timely way, and follow published test rules may sit for the LSAT-India.
  • It is the candidate's responsibility to understand the eligibility requirements of the participating law schools to which one is applying before deciding whether to register for the LSAT-India.
  • If one registers for the test and then determines that one is ineligible for admission to the intended law school, no test-fee refund will be available.

Application Procedure for LSAT Exam 2014

  • Registration Fee: Rs. 3800/-
  • Registration Window: Candidates can register for LSAT-India through online mode or by sending a demand draft. Registration windows are different for these modes.
    • Online Registration - 12th November, 2013 to 30th April, 2014.
    • Registration through demand draft/PO/banker's cheque - 12th November, 2013 to 28th April, 2014.

The demand draft/pay order/banker's cheque (favouring NCS Pearson India Pvt. Ltd., payable at New Delhi/ Noida) should reach to Pearson VUE, C/o Greenclouds, 6708, DLF Phase - IV, Gurgaon, Haryana - 122002 on or before 28th April, 2014 either by post or courier.

Note: Candidates should write “LSAT-India” at the bottom of the envelope.

Paper Pattern for LSAT Exam 2014 –

  • LSAT-India is a paper-and-pencil test with four sections.
  • All questions are in a multiple-choice format, some with four answer choices and others with five.
  • The duration of the test is 2 hours and 20 minutes.
  • Only correct answers contribute to a candidate's score.
  • There is no negative marking or penalty for guessing.
  • There is no substantial break between any sections of the test.

  • Last date for registration window (demand draft payments): Monday, April 28, 2014.
  • Last date for registration window (online payments): Wednesday, April 30, 2014.
  • Release of admit cards: Thursday, May 08, 2014 to Sunday, May 18, 2014.
  • Date of entrance test: Sunday, May 18, 2014.
  • Date of announcement of Results: Saturday, June 14, 2014.
