What is MAT December 2016?

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardized test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programs. Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a national level test in 2003. Any B-School - national or international - can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates. The largest test of its kind in the nation, MAT will continue to be candidate’s passport to over 600 B-Schools across India.

The MAT December paper based test will be held on Sunday, December 04, 2016 and computer based test will be conducted from Saturday, December 10, 2016 onwards.

MAT is usually conducted 4 times in a year in February, May, September and December. The minimum qualification for appearing in MAT is graduation in any discipline from any recognized University or equivalent recognized degree. A final year student in any undergraduate (i.e. B.A, B.Sc., B.Com., B.Tech., etc) can also appear provisionally.

MAT is conducted in all major cities in the country and in leading cities abroad. Validity of the MAT score is for that particular session for most MI’s is one year. The score card is put on the AIMA website during last week of the month of the test.

  • Last date for online filling-up/ purchase of form: 3rd week of November, 2016.
  • Download of admit card: 4th week of November, 2016.
  • Date of MAT December:
    • Paper based test: Sunday, December 04, 2016.
    • Computer based test: Saturday, December 10, 2016 onwards.
