Q1. Could you briefly tell us about the VIT B School?

VIT B School is nearly two decade old institution, under the aegis of the well-known VIT University, rated 12th among the Technological Institutions in India, by the India Today – AC Nielson Survey 2012.  Located in two campuses at Vellore and Chennai, the B School offers a wide mix of courses in an up-to-date industry oriented curriculum. The MBA Programme offered by the VIT B S was rated A2 category by the Indian Management B School Survey 2011.

Q2. What are the Courses offered?

 Apart from Foundation Management Courses, Specialization courses in Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Operations, Systems and International Business. Opportunities are available for experiential learning and a Global Tour.

Q4. What is your faculty strength? What is your faculty strength?

We have more than the required strength stipulated by UGC norms and have well-qualified & experienced Professors in our campuses.

Q5. Tell us about your Admission process at VIT B School.

Eligibility Criteria include 60% in UG, test scores of CAT/XAT/ GMAT and MAT followed by GD & Personal Interview. Appropriate weightage will be given for relevant Experience

Q6.  Is there any sector or function specific focus while targeting companies for placement?

No. But we do cater to IT and Banking and Financial Services and General manufacturing

Q7. What is the placement record like? How many companies do you have on your placement list and how many new companies do you get each year?

We are able to attract most of the top companies to our campus for placement and most of our students do get placed.

Q8. Do you foresee any difficulty in placing students taking into account the current market climate?

Although there is a declining trend in the economic scene, we have been successful in our placement efforts.

Q9. Do you have any international affiliations?

We have signed MOUs with many foreign Universities.

Q10. What does your institute offer students outside of academics?

Plenty of Industry Interaction, Foreign Tours, Foreign Language Training,  Certification course in British English, Experiential Learning Opportunities, Sports and Cultural Fests in a Lively Fully Residential Campus.

Q11. What makes your institute standout among other MBA schools?

Newly appointed Directors have IIM Background and have rich experience in Management Education sector.

Q12. Does your institute offer Scholarships or loans?

Fee concession is available for meritorious students. Educational Loans are encouraged through Banks.

Q13.  What are future plans for the Institute?

International tie-ups, Executive MBA programmes, Semester Abroad Programmes.

Q14. Do you have any international student exchange programs? If yes explain in detail.

Opportunities are available with foreign universities with whom we have signed MOU.

Q15. Does VITB School facilitate Internship for students during the course of the program? If yes, explain in detail.

Summer internship is compulsory.

Q16. How many students were placed this year and what were the sectors they were placed in?.

All eligible candidates are being placed in Banking, Financial services, IT, and Manufacturing.
