Q1. Please tell us in brief about the institute – its history, affiliations, philosophy etc?

JRE School of Management was inaugurated on 5th August 2011 with a vision to facilitate quality management and technical education, JRE School of Management has been developed to the highest international standards with state of the art infrastructure. The institute provides truly global experience through academic partnership with Raffles Education Corporation Limited, Singapore and Educomp Solutions Ltd, India, both world class education service providers. JRE has broadened the outlook of the students through the delivery of AICTE approved postgraduate programs in Management.
We believe in developing students’ capacity to assume responsibility for their own personal development. This philosophy guides all that we do in the teaching-learning process.

Q2. What are the various courses being offered to the students?

The Post Graduate Diploma in Management program approved by AICTE has been designed to empower the participants through quality education focusing on innovation, entrepreneurship and benchmarked management techniques. The Institute aims at creating an environment in which students undergo a process of experiential learning through exposure to a range of real world practical problems and utilizing opportunities to apply learned skills in diverse business situations.
PGDM program offers specialization in the area of

•    Marketing
•    Finance
•    Human Resource Management

Q3. Please tell us something about your faculty profile and the student faculty ratio.

The students are taught by a team of highly qualified professional educators and practitioners from Industry and Academics. Our Faculty mainly comprises of PhDs with research and industry experience. They are also supported by the eminent visiting faculties coming from the premier institutions in India and abroad. The student faculty ratio is that of 8: 1

Q4. What exam scores do you accept? If it’s not confidential please share the last year’s cut off for all the exams.  

The selection to JRE School of Management is based on our aptitude test which consists of a written test, group discussion and a personal interview. Candidates who have a score of CAT/MAT/XAT above 80 percentile are exempted from our aptitude test. Chances of selection is high if the score in the CAT/MAT/XAT is 80 percentile and above.


A bachelor's degree with medium of instruction as English in any discipline.
Applicants in their final year bachelor's degree course are also eligible to apply.

Q5. Is there any preference for a student with some pre MBA work experience? Also please share the ratio of engineers Vs the non engineers in the batch.

No. Our pioneer batch, the students are a mix of fresh graduates without any work experience and people with significant work experience. Currently the ratio of engineers vs. the non engineers in the batch is 1:5

Q 6. Please share something about the placement record of the college. What are the primary sectors that the students were placed in?

As it is our pioneer batch, we have just started with our students’ first summer internship program. The Placement team interacts with our students to understand their professional career interest and guide them accordingly. Members of Corporate Relations includes Mr. R. Jayraman (Head- Corporate Resource Center, IIM-A Alumni, CEO/ Senior Management positions like Madura Coats, Jumbo electronics Dubai etc), Mr. Siddharth (Director- Corporate and Human Relations, Senior level positions like GE as a Vice President, DBS Cholamandalam- All India Head Retail, etc), Dr. Pawan Gupta (Chairperson, CRC), Mr. Bitopan (Manager- Corporate Relations) and Mr. Prashant Vaish (Associate, Team CRC). Our prospective recruiters for Summer Internship include HDFC Bank, Zee Network Ltd., IFCI, LG, Videocon, HT Media, Indorama, Sundaram Asset Management, Vardhaman Yarns and Threads Ltd.

Q 7. Any other certifications/skill sets that a student gets while he is pursuing his course at your college?

JRE SOM is also providing an opportunity to the students for professional certifications and industry specific training offered by a number of multinational companies. These certifications are offered at an additional cost to the students.

Q 8. How does a student benefit from the international affiliations that your college has.

In today’s globalized environment, the need to expose students to the various cultures across continents is gaining special importance. The modern multinational organizations expect management graduates to be aware of socio-economic and cultural aspects of the international marketplaces. International affiliations and relationships offer the benefits of sharing industrial knowledge and experience it also broadens the perspectives of the students and faculty involved.

Q 9. If I were to ask you to mention three differentiators for your institute what would they be?

The key Differentiators are:

Q 10. What kind of Scholarships is available from the institute’s side? Are there any tie ups with banks for financial assistance?

Ans.  JRE is offering Scholarships students selected by the JRE management through the given eligibility criteria and personal interview. The eligibility and scholarship amount is as given below

Q11. Does the curriculum have any study tours or student exchange programs integrated? If yes please explain in detail.

Ans. Yes, our students generally go for one International tour in a year. JRE SOM allows offers student exchange programs with other group colleges across India as well as in other countries like Australia, Singapore and Malaysia.

Q12. How long is the summer internship for the first year MBA students? What kind of support does the institute offer for the same to the students?

The Summer Internship Project (SIP) of approximately 6-8 weeks duration at the end of the first year is a vital building block of the PGDM Programme.

During the second year of program the student will have the opportunity to pursue a career interests in one of the following areas:

- Human Resources
- Marketing
- Finance
