Registration for CAT 2012 begins today July 30, 2012. This year Indian Institute of Management – Kozhikode (IIM-K) will be conducting the CAT exam. The number of testing days this year has been increased to 21 days within the window from 11 October to 6 November 2012. The CAT vouchers will be available at selected Axis Bank branches from 30 July to 17 September 2012 and the registration window will be open from 30 July to 19 September 2012.

CAT 2012 application process

To register to take the CAT 2012, go to www.catiim.in and click on the “Register for CAT 2012” link. You can register and schedule for the CAT 2012 from 30 July – 19 September 2012.

During registration, you will be required to:

1. Create a profile.

2. Fill out the CAT application.

3. Schedule your test.

Benefits of applying early

As seen in previous years, more students rush to bank as the closing date approaches compared to the early days. To avoid standing in long queues, one should apply early. Also if you are applying early you have the liberty to opt for a date, slot and exam center of your choice. If you apply late, chances are there that you may not get any of the three factors of your choice.

Once you complete the registration process, you have a confirmed test date with you so that you can plan your studies accordingly depending on the number of days left for the final CAT exam day.
