Great Lakes, Chennai Concludes Placements for the 2010-11 PGPM batch

Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai completes placement for the 2010-2011 batch. The 2010-2011 PGPM Batch consisted of 296 students with a work experience of 20-81 months. About 121 companies participated in the placement process of Great Lake, Chennai and offered diverse roles to the students. The recruiters who extended maximum number of offers were Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant, Mahindra Satyam and iNautix.

The consulting sector extended offers to 30% of the PGPM Batch. The major players in this segment were Deloitte, Ernst and Young, Accenture, Cognizant Business Consulting, ZS Associates, Universal Consulting & PWC.


IT companies such as HCL, Mahindra Satyam, Wipro, Mindtree & TCS were the major companies that participated in the placement process and extended offers to nearly 23% of the PGPM batch.

Sales & Marketing

Sales and Marketing extended offer to nearly 20% of the batch. Some of the prominent industry players who participated in the placement process were - Yes Bank, Godrej Consumer, Mahindra Holidays (Travel and Tourism), Edserv, Symrise (FMCG), Axis Bank (BFSI), Manipal Education (Education), Kotak Mahindra Bank, HIRCO (Infrastructure), Axis Bank (BFSI), Puma (Retail), Global Scholar & Everonn were marketing and sales companies through which 52 students acquired jobs with a salary of 16 lakhs p.a.

General Management & Business Analytics

The business research segment extended 11% offers to the students of PGPM Batch. IMRB, IBM Analytics & RAMCO Systems were some of the companies that did major recruitments in Great Lakes, Chennai for the Analytics & Business research areas. The general management function offered nearly 7% of the total offers to the 2011 PGPM Batch. SunEdison & Hospira Healthcare offered general management roles to the students. The highest salary offered in the general management roles were 10.7 lakh p.a.


The finance sector offered extended nearly 9% offers to the PGPM Batch. Wealth Advisors India, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Spark Capital, ICICI Bank UBS, Yes Bank, Vista Soft & Axis Ban were some of the financial recruiters who offered the roles such as Institutional Investments, Securities Trading, Corporate Banking Wealth Management, Equity Research & Fixed Income Securities.

The outstanding reputation of the college and the quality of students are the two major reasons for companies such as Infosys and Accenture to extend numerous offers to the students. The placements for 2010-2011 PGPM Batch has stuck another feather in the cap for Great Lakes, Chennai.
