IIM-Lucknow (Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow) has concluded its final placements for 2010-12 batch and has successfully placed 389 students at reputed firms such as Boston Consulting Group, Infosys, Deloitte Consulting, Cognizant, IBM, Bharti Airtel, Larsen & Toubro, Proctor & Gamble, Citi Bank and Coca-Cola.

Over 216 companies participated in the campus recruitment drive and made 446 offers to the batch of 389 students. As per the sources from IIM-Lucknow placement cell the average annual salary package for this year has improved as compared to previous year. However, considering it as a policy matter, the institute did not reveal the annual pay packages offered to their students.

About 70 Pre-placement offers were extended to IIM-L management graduates. Nearly, 149 experienced students received lateral offers during the High entry placement process for lateral hiring. From the overall 216 companies who visited the campus for placement process out of which 57 were the new recruiters.

Sectoral Break Up:

 

Sales, Marketing & Market Research:

This sector picked up about 25% of students from the total batch. Marketing sector emerged as a preferred sector for the students. Top recruiters from this feild are FlipKart, HCL Infosystems, Maruthi Suziki, Myntra, Nokia, Artrtel, Aircel, Raymond, Suzion.

BFSI:

BFSI sector extended offers to 20% of the total students in a variety of areas. Top recruiters from these sectors were ICICI Bank, Citi Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Avendus, Amercian Express, HDFC, SBI Capital.

Consulting:

This sector picked up about 19% of students from the total batch. Top companies such as Mckinsey & co. Boston Consulting Group, Accenture Management Consulting, Infosys Business Consulting, Wipro and Consulting recruited students from this sector.

Information Technology:

This sector picked up about 19% of students from the total batch. Top recruiters from this sector are IBM, Cognizant, Mphasis, Capgemini, GE, HCL Technologies, MAQ Software.

General Management:

This sector picked up about 7% of students from the total batch. Top recruiters from this sector are Larsen & Toubro, TATA Administrative Service, Reliance, Aditiya Birla Group, Mahindra & Mahindra, and RPG.

On the whole, the IIM Lucknow final placement concluded on a high note.
