IIM Lucknow Successfully Places Entire 2009-2011 Batch

Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIM-L) successfully placed entire 2009-2011 batch.

Overview:

IIM Lucknow achieved 100% final placements for 2009-2011 batch. By far, 2009-2011 batch with 366 students is the largest to be placed among all IIMs. Almost 206 companies participated in the 2011 final placement process. In addition, 53 new companies participated in the placement process. The players from diverse sectors such as Telecom, IT, Sales and Marketing, Finance and Consulting participated in final placement process of IIM Lucknow.

 Industry Players:

Companies from the Consulting sector recruited 82 students from the 2009-2011 batch. Some of the top companies that extended offer to the IIM –L students were Virtusa, The Boston Consulting Group, PricewaterhouseCoopers, KPMG, McKinsey and Co., Headstrong, Ernst & Young, Deloitte, Cognizant Business Consulting and Accenture.


Within the finance sector, financial firms and banking sectors mostly dominated the recruitments. Students were offered profiles in Treasury, Proprietary Trading and Investment Banking. Some of the important financial firms that participated in 2011 Placements were Yes Bank, Amex, Standard Chartered, Avendus Capital, SBI Capital, Kotak Wealth Management, Nomura, Karvy, CRISIL, JP Morgan, Edelweiss, Indus Valley Partners, HDFC Bank and several others.


IIM Lucknow in their 2011 Final Placements witnessed students being recruited by some of the finest companies from the Sales and Marketing sector. Some of the top companies that took part in the placement process from Sales and Marketing sector were Ranbaxy, Procter & Gamble, Pepsi, Nokia, Marico, Kraft Foods Cadbury, Johnson & Johnson, ITC and Hindustan Unilever.


Some of the players from IT sector were TCS, Wipro, MindTree, Infosys and a few companies that participated from the Telecom sector were Vodafone, Airtel, Bharti and Aircel.

 

Conclusion:

The diversity of profiles being offered to the students during the final placement process indicates the trust of recruiters in IIM Lucknow. IIM Lucknow prepares students for facing all the challenges and perform as per the demands of the industry.
