IRMA Gujarat announces 2013 admission process
IRMA (Institute of Rural Management Anand) Gujarat has released the admission notification for its Postgraduate Programme in Rural Management (PRM) and Fellow Programme in Rural Management (FPRM). The IRMA entrance exam will be conducted on Sunday, November 11, 2012.
The registration process has begun and the last date to apply is September 30, 2012. Let us know the important details given by the institute.
A graduate from any discipline, with a minimum of 15 years (10+2+3) of education, having 50 percent (45 percent for SC/ST/dap*) aggregate marks or an equivalent GPA from recognised university / institution at the graduation level are eligible to apply. Applicants, who expect to fulfill the eligibility requirements before, June 17, 2013, may also apply. Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
Applicants with any one of the following: (i) Postgraduation in any discipline from a recognised Institution with 55% marks, and 50% marks at graduation level; (ii) PGDRM from IRMA; (iii) Four-year professional degree (engineering, agricultural sciences etc.) with 60% marks and at least three years work experience; (iv) Five-year professional degree (medicine, veterinary science, architecture etc.) with 60% marks and at least one year work experience; (v) Applicants who have valid score of UGC JRF (NET)/CSIR in relevant disciplines (management, economics, social work, sociology, psychology, commerce, etc); are eligible for admission to FPRM 2013. SC/ST/OBC/dap* applicants are eligible for 5% relaxation in the marks specified above. Applicants, who expect to fulfill the eligibility requirements before June 17, 2013, may also apply. Applicants with PGDRM qualification from IRMA and applicants who have valid score of UGC JRF (NET)/CSIR in relevant disciplines (management, economics, social work, sociology, psychology, commerce, etc) are exempted from writing the written test and will be directly called for interview.
IRMA test pattern:
IRMA exam will be of 3 hours. The paper will have a total of 200 questions divided into 4 sections namely Quantitative Ability, English Comprehension, Issues of Social Concern and Analytical Reasoning.
A written test, common for all the above programmes will be conducted on November 11, 2012. PRM participants are selected on the basis of the written test, group activity and personal interview. FPRM participants are selected on the basis of the written test, interview and presentation of an essay.
How to apply:
The application fee to apply online for one program is Rs 1000 and for 2 programs is Rs 1500. For applying offline, the application fee is Rs 1050 for 1 program and Rs 1550 for 2 programs.

This year IRMA will be conducted across 27 exam centers in India. The test cities include Anand, Bhopal, Chennai, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Coimbatore, Chandigarh, Delhi, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Kochi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patna, Pantnagar, Rajkot, Nagpur, Thiruvananthapuram, Ranchi, Vijaywada, Udaipur and Varanasi.
