SAP India collaborates with IIM Shillong for e-governance project

SAP India has entered into an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with IIM (Indian Institute of Management) – Shillong to start a cloud based e-governance project in Meghalaya.

IIM-Shillong’s branch CEDNER (Centre for Development of the North Eastern Region) will collaborate with SAP India for this e-governance project. Advisory support will be given by IIM-Shillong.

SAP India is undertaking this project as part of its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiative where citizen charter including details of village headman, citizen will be mentioned. The project also aims at monitoring other projects such as wells, roads and maintenance of accounts.

Sources from IIM-Shillong revealed that this is an initiative to make the benefits of technology available for common people free of cost.
