Major MBA Entrance Exams Coming Up After CAT

The year 2011 is all set to bid adieu to its MBA aspirants. The MBA entrance exams such as CAT, MAT, IRMA and IIFT for admissions in the MBA programs for the year 2012 are already over. However, with the new year approaching a bunch of leading MBA entrance exams are yet to be conducted. Here is a list of upcoming MBA entrance exams with their dates:

SNAP 2011- SNAP is the MBA entrance exam conducted by Symbiosis International University, Pune for admissions in various post graduate programs. This year SNAP test will be held on December 18, 2011, Sunday. SNAP is a 120 minutes objective type paper pencil based test. The question paper is divided into 4 sections namely, General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability, Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency, General Awareness: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Business Scenario, Analytical & Logical Reasoning. There will be a negative marking; each wrong answer will cost a student 25% negative marks. The total marks allotted for the test is 180.

IBSAT 2011-IBSAT is the MBA entrance exam conducted by ICFAI Business School. This year the exam has been scheduled for December 24, 2011, Saturday. The exam is of two hours duration. The question paper is divided into 4 sections with total 125 questions. The four sections are Data Sufficiency & Data Interpretation, Quantitative Ability and English Usage& Reading Comprehension.

XAT 2012-XAT is the MBA entrance exam conducted by XLRI Jamshedpur. XAT 2012 will be held on January 8, 2012, Sunday. Nearly, 101 b-schools of India will accept XAT scores to provide admissions to MBA programs. The paper is divided into 3 sections which include Quantitative ability & decision making, Verbal & Logical ability and Analytical Reasoning & Decision Making. The paper is of 2 hours 20 minutes. The last 20 minutes is allotted for Analytical Caselet.

MAT February 2012- MAT February 2012 will be the first MAT exam of the year 2012 conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA). MAT February 2012 will be held on February 5, 2012, Sunday for paper pencil based test and the online test will commence from February 11, 2012, Saturday onwards. The last date for registering to MAT February, 2012 is January 17, 2012, Tuesday. The scores of February MAT exam will be accepted by 462 b-schools of India. The duration of the exam is 150 minutes and the paper consists of 200 questions. The question paper is divided into 5 sections which include Mathematical skills, Data Analysis & Sufficiency, Language Comprehension, and Intelligence & Critical Reasoning.

ATMA 2012- Association of Indian Management Schools conducts ATMA (AIMS Test for Management Aptitude). The last date for registration is January 27, 2012, Friday. Candidates can either choose paper pencil based test or the online test. The paper pencil based test is scheduled for February 12, 2012, Sunday, and the online test will be conducted across 4 days, April 29, June 2, July 29 and August 19, 2012.

The paper consists of 170 questions divided into 6 sections. Separate time is allotted for each section. The sections are Quantitative Skills, Verbal Skills and Analytical Reasoning Skills. The duration of the exam is 3 hours.

CMAT 2012- CMAT is the Commonmanagement entrance exam introduced by AICTE. The first CMAT exam will be conducted in 2012 and has been scheduled from February 20 and 28, 2012. The registration process for CMAT 2012 will start from December 9, 2011. The last date for registration is January 9, 2012. The mode of the test will be online. The exam duration is 3 hours and will be conducted in 61 cities across India. The paper will be divided into 4 sections namely, Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness. The paper will consist of 25 questions in each section of total 100 marks (4 marks will be allotted for each correct answer). There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer.

So students should buckle up for these exams to ensure their admissions in leading b-schools of India in the year 2012.
