XIMB concludes final placements 2012 on a high note

Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar concluded final placement for 2010-2012 batch and has successfully placed a batch of 180 students. Compared to last year, this year the average salary of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) has increased by 6%. The average compensation for 2010-2012 batch students rose from Rs. 10.76 lakhs p.a. in 2009-11 to Rs. 11.42 lakh p.a. Overall, 61 companies participated in the placement process, known as Xuberance 2012. Previous year 45 organizations participated in the placement process. In international segment, Olam International offered the maximum package of US dollars 50,000 a year, while maximum domestic income package stood at Rs.15.5 lakh p.a.

Sectoral Break Up:-

Marketing:

Marketing sector companies hired about 23% of the students for different marketing roles.

Finance:

Finance sector companies picked 22% students of the total batch size.

Information Technology:

About 22% of the students were extended roles in IT by some of the top recruiters.

Human Resource:

This year some of the top companies such as Capgemini, Tata HRDP, Vedanta, Tata Motors, Shapoorji Paloonji and L &T Group visited the campus to offer HR profiles to 14% of the students.

Rural Management:

XIMB also attained 100% placements in Rural Management course with maximum salary of Rs 9.5 lakh pa and average income hovering at approximately Rs 6.78 lakh per year.

On the whole, the XIBM’s placement was successful process altogether.
