The XLRI 2011 Final Placements for the first time witnesses placement of 240 students in the span of 4 days. XLRI Final Placement Process this time witnessed highest number of offers being made to the batch of 240 students while offering them a wide array of job profiles to choose from. The Pre-placement offers (PPO’S) exhibited an increase of 19.25% in comparison to the last year.

The students of XLRI have been placed in different sectors of the industry in 2011. The percentages have been mentioned below:-
Out of the total offers being made, nearly 25% of the offers were extended from the finance sector. ICICI Bank extended 21 offers. Students were extended offers from functions such as Commercial Banking, Wholesale Banking, Corporate Finance, Treasury and Investment Banking. Financial Institutions such as YES Bank, DBS, Axis Bank, ICICI, Standard Chartered and CitiBank extended offers to 2011 MBA Batch. Corporate finance roles were offered by Hindustan Unilever, Cadbury, L&T and Reliance Industries Ltd among others.
Most of the students of 2011 batch exhibited keen interest towards marketing profiles. The marketing sector extended 25% of the total offers. The 2011 batch were offered different opportunities in diverse functions such as sales, marketing and branding. FMCG majors such as Biocon, Castrol, ITC, Johnson & Johnson, Procter & Gamble and Cadbury extended offers to the students.
Consulting group such as Boston Consulting Group, Mckinsey & Co., Accenture Business Consulting, Tata Strategic Management Group, Ernst & Young, Mercer Consulting, Hewitt Associates, KPMG, Deloitte Consulting, Cognizant Business Consulting, Capgemini & Wipro Consulting for roles in Business Advisory, Strategy and Human Capital Advisory in India and overseas and extended 25% of the total offers.
Aditya Birla Group, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hinduja Group, Reliance Industries LTD, Lodha Group, Manipal Group, RPG Group and Murugappa group made over 13% offers in general management and middle management roles.
Novartis AG offered its prestigious HR Leadership Development Role at Basel, Switzerland exclusively to XLRI, making the highest international offer of US $120,000.
