Allahabad University begins postgraduate admissions for physically challenged
Allahabad University has notified that students seeking admission to post graduate courses such as MSc/MA/MCom/Med for 2012-13 under the physically challenged category can appear before the Medical Board on August 11, 2012 at 12 pm in the office of Dean Students Welfare. Students must carry their original documents.
Admission in MA economics: General students with 113 or above marks in entrance exam, OBC students with 69 or above marks, SC students with 51 or above and ST students with 51 or above marks and all employee ward can appear at the economics department on August 8 from 11 am to 1 pm along with all original documents, xerox copies and 2 photographs.
Admission in MSc biochemistry: All SC students and OBC students with 79 or above marks must report at the biochemistry department on August 13, 2012 between 10 am and 12:30 pm with caste certificates, original documents, TC/migration and 2 colored photographs.
Admission in bioinformatics programme: Students qualifying PGAT in allied subjects with score 71 and above can report at Centre of Bioinformatics for personal interview on August 10, 2012 at 11 am along with original and photocopy of documents and transcripts of records.
Admission in MA education: General students with 93 or above marks, OBC with a score of 79, SC candidates with upto 69 marks and all ST students can report at the department of Geography on August 8, 2012 at 10:30 am with original certificates, photocopies, 2 coloured photographs, TC/migration and caste certificates.
Admission in MA psychology: OBC students upto 25 marks, SC and all ST students who took PGAT can contact department of psychology on August 9, 2012 between 10 am and 1 pm along with original documents, 2 coloured photographs and photocopies.
Admission in MCom: OBC students with 102 and above marks and all ST students can contact the Commerce faculty on August 8, 2012 and SC students with 76 and above marks and all ST candidates can report on August 9, 2012 at 9 am. Candidates must carry original certificates, photocopies and 1 passport size photograph.
Non Subject students seeking admission who took PGAT can contact the department of Psychology on August 10, 2012 at 11am.
Admission in MSc agriculture botany: General category students, OBC, SC and ST candidates must report at the department of Botany on August 08, 2012 at 11:00 am along with their original documents, photocopies, TC/Migration and 2 coloured photographs. Admission will be merit based depending on the availability of seats.
Admission in MA/MSc geography: General category students with marks upto 150, OBC upto 140 marks, SC upto 118 marks and all ST students can contact the department of Geography on August 08, 2012 at 11 am along with their TC/migration, original documents, caste certificate, and 2 coloured photographs.
Admission in MSc zoology: All ST students can report at the department of Zoology on August 09, 2012 between 10 am and 12 pm with their TC/migration, original documents, caste certificate, photocopies and 2 coloured photographs. Admissions will be merit based depending on the availability of seats.
Admission in environmental sciences: Candidates seeking admission in MSc Environmental Sciences under Paid seat/NRI quota can obtain application forms from the office of the Environmental Sciences, Botany department AU on all weekdays from 12:00 to 3:00 pm. The sale and submission of application forms will close on August 11, 2012.
Admission in MA Journalism: General category candidates with upto 89 marks, OBC upto 76 marks, all ST candidates and SC students upto 55 marks can report at the department of journalism & Mass Communication on August 10, 2012 from 11 am to 2 pm along with their TC/Migration, original documents, caste certificate, photocopies and 2 coloured photographs.
