The Centralised Admission Committee, Pondicherry Engineering College, Puducherry has announced the exam dates for the CENTAC PG Entrance Exam 2012 which will be held in the month of July, 2012. The CENTAC PG Entrance Exam 2012 will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 and Sunday, July 29, 2012.

The CENTA PG Entrance Exam 2012 is held for taking admission to the Master of Technology (M.Tech) program in various disciplines, Master of Science (M.Sc) in Materials Science and Technology, and Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Physics (Material Science) programs for the commencing session 2012-13.

Eligibility Criteria for CENTAC PG Entrance Exam 2012:

• For M.Tech Programs: The candidate should have completed the B.E/B.Tech degree in the respective discipline with minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent CGPA.
• For M.Sc Program: The candidate should have completed the B.Sc degree in the respective discipline with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent CGPA.
• For M.Phil Program: The candidate should have completed the M.Sc degree in the respective field with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent CGPA.

Application Procedure for CENTAC PG Entrance Exam 2012:

• Application forms and  information brochure can be obtained from Office of PEC Credit Society, Pondicherry Engineering College, Puducherry-605014, in person on payment of Rs. 1030/- [Rs. 530/- for SC / ST candidates].
• Application forms can also be obtained by post by sending a request to ‘The Convenor, CENTAC-PG,MCA&MBA Pondicherry Engineering College, Puducherry-605014’, along with two self-addressed slips (neatly typed or hand written) and a crossed demand draft for Rs.1065/-(Rs.1000/- towards the cost of application and Rs.65/- for postage)  [Rs.565/- for SC / ST candidates. (Rs.500/- towards the cost of application and Rs.65/- for postage)], drawn in favor of ‘The Convenor, CENTAC-PG, MCA & MBA’ payable at Puducherry.
• The application form can also be downloaded from their official website - www.pec.edu
• Filled-in application forms along with all necessary enclosures should be sent in the prescribed envelope to 'The Convenor, Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC-PG MCA & MBA), Pondicherry Engineering College, Puducherry - 605 014’ by July 16, 2012 at the latest.

Paper Pattern for CENTAC PG Entrance Exam 2012:

• Each PG Program would have a separate question paper covering the portions learnt in the relative undergraduate discipline.
• The Entrance Examination is of two hours duration consisting of 90 objective type questions.
• Each correct answer carries 4 marks and wrong answers will have minus 1 mark.
