Jamia Millia Islamia University Placements Concluded Successfully

Jamia Millia Islamia University has successfully concluded its placement process for the academic year 2010-2011.

Offers were made to more than 600 students by 140 companies visiting the campus. Around 450 professionals also visited the campus for recruitment purpose.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) recruited the highest number of 110 B.Tech students from 2011 batch. Other recruiters visiting the campus include Samsung, Adobe, HCL, Mahindra, ACC, Siemens, Unitech and Maruti. Offers were made by these companies to 280 students of different branches of the B.Tech 2011 batch. L&T, Hitachi, Yamaha and Wipro recruited 91 students of Diploma Engineering.

Placements were carried out for other streams as well such as MBA, MSW, MIB, MHRM, Travel and Tourism Management, Graduates and Post graduates of English, Economics, Journalism, and Arabics etc. Out of 125 students placed from these courses 54 MBA students alone have earned attractive salaries and incentives.

Apart from the placement activity a number of lectures/ seminars/symposia were organized by the Training and Placement Cell of Jamia Millia Islamia University in collaboration with Engineering Companies, Public sector undertakings and Educational Institutes/Universities to provide career guidelines to the Jamia students.
