The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has asked the students to give up the allotted Karnataka CET seats if they don’t want to join, before August 10, 2012, 7 pm.

The fee paid will be refunded to the candidates after deducting Rs 5000 as processing fee.

The initiative was taken after KEA received a number of complaints from students and parents who claimed that those who have secured seats in KEA have also taken an engineering seat in NITK Surathkal and BVSc and BSc (Agl) seats in University of Agricultural Science and other universities.

The KEA has notified the mentioned universities to submit the list of students who have opted seats in their colleges for 2012 academic year.

Seat surrender counters are available at KEA and its helpline centers (Mangalore, Mysore, Shimoga, Karwar, Davanagere, Hassan, Dharwad, Bellary, Bijapur, Belgaum, Raichur and Gulbarga.) The counters will remain open from 8:30 am till 7:30 pm on all days.
