In a bid to fulfill the increasing industry demand for a specific HR skill set such as finance, accounting and capital marketing, PTU (Punjab Technical University) has introduced MCom and BCom professional courses as a part of its distance learning program. The bachelor and master degree programs are open for all class of people ranging from student to working executives to housewives and entrepreneurs.

The regular BCom course simply involves classroom lectures on accounting methods and laws. Sources from the ICAI while talking about the new course expressed that the companies today seek multitasking professionals for managing diverse needs of the business.
