University of Calcutta Invites Applications for BLIS Program

Applications are invited by University of Calcutta, Kolkata for admission to Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) program (Evening) offered at the Department of Library and Information Science for the commencing session 2012-13.

Eligibility Criteria for University of Calcutta, Kolkata:

  • The candidates should have a Bachelor Degree with Honors (10 + 2+ 3) or Master Degree or a Degree in a technical subject (of the pattern 10 + 2 + 4 or 10 + 2 + 5) such as Medical Science, Engineering, Law etc. of the University or having an equivalent degree of any other University or Institute recognized by the university.
  • Candidates appearing in the final Part of Honors Examination are also eligible.

  • The application form along with the information brochure can be obtained from the university sales counter at the cost of Rs. 250/-.
  • The completed application forms should be submitted to the Department of Library and Information Science by July 12, 2012.

The selection of the candidates will be based on their performance in the entrance test conducted by the university.
