Women toppers mark the CSE 2012 results consecutively for 2nd year

The prestigious Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2012 result was marked by women toppers. Haryana- based Shena Agarwal and Rukmani Riar of Hoshiarpur in Punjab have bagged top positions in CSE exam this year. The exam shortlists IFS, IAS, IRS, IPS and other central services officers in India.

In 2011 too, S Divyadarshini from Chennai and Sweta Mohanty from Hyderabad had topped the exam.

The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) declared the CSE Results on Friday which reveals that out of 25 toppers, 19 are male and 6 are female candidates.

Aggarwal of Yamunanagar in Haryana holding a MBBS degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) bagged the top position at CSE in her third attempt while Riar from Punjab who has done her MA from TATA Institute of Social Sciences cracked the exam in her first attempt.

Prince Dhawan, of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi came third clearing the CSE in his first attempt.
