What is NMAT?

NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) is an entrance exam conducted by SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (School of Business Management) for admission to a range of MBA programs offered by the institute. NMIMS offers a wide range of MBA programs, both general management and specialized areas, to suit industry requirements and make a student future ready.

Eligibility for NMAT 2014 –

For MBA, MBA in Banking and MBA in Capital Market:

  • Full time bachelor's degree (10+2+3/4) in any discipline from a UGC recognized university with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate in first attempt.
  • The candidate must have completed graduation in the stipulated duration as per the respective university/institution awarding the degree.

For MBA in Pharmaceutical Management:

  • Full time bachelor's degree (10+2+3/4) in pharmacy, science, life sciences, medical doctors MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS, B.Sc. and M.Sc.in Biotechnology from a UGC recognized university with minimum 50% marks in the aggregate in first attempt. Postgraduate degree in economics, psychology and sociology can also apply.
  • Candidates with B.Tech & B.E. in Bio-Tech and Bio-Medical are also eligible to apply.
  • The candidate must have completed graduation in the stipulated duration as per the respective university/institution awarding the degree.
  • Candidates working in pharmaceutical companies for more than two years are preferred.

Application Procedure for NMAT 2014

Pearson VUE will carry out the online registration and will conduct NMAT on behalf of NMIMS. Interested candidates have to visit the NMIMS website for online registration. For appearing for NMAT, online application has to be duly submitted and payment of registration charges need to be made in any of the prescribed mode within stipulated time.

  • Candidates can apply for more than one program/campus as per his/her eligibility by giving preferences.
  • The preferences once given cannot be changed later on.

Note: There will be three radio buttons for registration i.e. MBA (Full Time), PGDM and both (FT MBA & PGBM). A candidate who wishes to apply for more than one campus has to select the third option of both and has to pay registration charges.

Paper Pattern for NMAT 2014 –

NMAT would be an objective type multiple-choice test. (There will be no descriptive type questions).

  • Registration end date: Tuesday, September 24, 2013.
  • Late registration start date: Wednesday, September 25, 2013.
  • Late registration end date: Monday, September 30, 2013.
  • Date of NMAT examination: Saturday, October 05, 2013 to Wednesday, December 18, 2013.
  • Announcement of Results: Thursday, January 23, 2014.
