Aliah University Invites Application for Ph.D (Spring Semester) Program

Applications are invited by Aliah University, Kolkata for Ph.D spring semester program commencing in the session 2012. The admissions will be made based on the entrance test which will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012.

Note: Candidates who have qualified NET / GATE / SET / SLET / UGC / (JRF) / CSIR (JRF) / Teacher Fellowship or equivalent examination or those having a M Tech / ME / M Phil Degree are exempted from the entrance test. However, they have to appear in the interview.

How to Apply for Aliah University:

  • Candidates can download the prescribed application format from the University’s official website: http://www.aliah.ac.in/.
  • In addition, one can download the same from the direct link: http://www.aliah.ac.in/PhD_WebContent.pdf/. The duly filled in application form, complete in all respect, along with all requisite documents (List of enclosures given on the website) and an account payee Demand Draft of Rs 500 drawn in favor of “The Registrar, Aliah University”, should be submitted to the Office of the Registrar, Aliah University, Salt Lake Campus, DN - 47, Sector - V, Salt Lake, Kolkata - 700 091, on or before January 20, 2012.

Selection Procedure for Aliah University

Admission will be made on the basis of entrance test merit, followed by an interview, scheduled to be held on the below-mentioned date at the respective department.

Important Dates for Aliah University:

  • Last date for submission of application form is Friday, January 20, 2012.
  • Entrance Test: Saturday, February 11, 2012
