Applications are invited by Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad for admission into full-time Master of Technology (M.Tech) and Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) programs for the commencing session 2012-13.

ISM Dhanbad Eligibility:

• For M.Tech Program:Minimum 1^st class/1^st division/3.5 in 5 pint scale/7.0 in 10 point scale (without rounding off) is required throughout (secondary / higher secondary / graduation / post graduation) for candidates of all categories to become eligible for admission in M.Tech programs. Candidates should obtain their qualifying degree from the institute recognizes by UGC/AICTE. Mathematics in higher secondary (10+2) is essential for admission in M.Tech program.
• For M.Phil Program:Candidates of all categories should possess minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of the qualifying degree. However for admission to M.Phill in English, candidates under SC/ST categories are eligible with 50% marks or equivalent grade in M.A English.

How to Apply for ISM Dhanbad:

• The application form for M.Tech/M.Phil has to be submitted online, which is available on the website www.ismdhanbad.ac.inor www.onlineism.co.in. For online submission of form the candidates should first deposite the application fee of Rs 500/- either by bank transfer (this mode is preferred) or get a DD for Rs 500/- which should be drawn in favor of Registrar ISM Dhanbad payable at Dhanbad .
• One copy of the duly filled in application form along with the bank deposite document or demand draft should reach the Deputy Registrar (Academic & SW), Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad 826004 latest by April 06, 2012.

Selection Procedure for ISM Dhanbad: 

Selection of candidates for M.Tech program will be strictly made on the basis of their GATE score. For GATE not qualified/sponsored candidates will be on the basis of All India Entrance Examination conducted by ISM on Sunday, May 13, 2012 followed by counseling.
