About Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET)

Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) is an entrance exam which is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa every year. This entrance exam is held to take admissions into several bachelor’s degree programs offered under various fields such as Medical, Engineering, Dental, Pharmacy and Homeopathy in the State of Goa, for the academic year 2012-13.

These professional degree programs are offered by a number of government aided as well as private colleges and institutes in Goa. The Directorate of Technical Education board, Goa has set certain eligibility criteria to qualify for the GCET entrance exam. The GCET entrance exam was conducted on Tuesday, 8th May, 2012 and Wednesday, 9th May, 2012.
