MHRD Invites Applications for Commonwealth/Scholarships Fellowships in UK 2012

Applications are invited by Ministry of Human Resource Development for Commonwealth Scholarships/ Fellowships in UK.  Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education administers only those scholarships/fellowships which are being offered by the foreign countries under Cultural Exchange Programs and other Programs. The subject fields are generally chosen for those subject fields, facilities for which are available in the donor country and also keeping in view the national needs.

Scholarship Details:

Scholarships cover tourist’s class air passage (both ways) fee, adequate maintenance and other allowance.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Indian national residing in India.
  • The Candidates must have completed tertiary education in English Medium.
  • For Master’s Degree: One must have completed Bachelor’s Degree in one of the above indicated subject fields securing 55% or above marks in Humanities and Social Science group and 60% or above marks in Medicine, Engineering & Technology, Science and Agriculture group. Candidate should give one page academic justification for pursuing Master Degree course in U.K.
  • For Ph.D: One must have completed Master’s Degree in one of the subject fields indicated above securing 55% marks in Humanities and Social Science group and 60% or above marks In Medicine, Engineering & Technology, Science and Agriculture group opted field of study.
