Preparation tips for SNAP 2011:
Speed is the key to crack SNAP - SNAP is slightly less difficult than CAT. But remember, here you have to attempt 180 questions in 2 hours as compared to CAT where there were 120 questions to attempt in 2 hours 20 minutes. Thus, SNAP test can also be called a speed-based test whereas CAT and XAT are accuracy based tests. If you have practiced SNAP mock test papers and worked on your speed while taking the test half of your preparation is done. One more point to be considered is here logical reasoning questions are of 2 marks each so don’t miss those questions. Start with the sections you are confident about.
Accuracy + Speed are the only mantra – SNAP exam has the system of negative marking so do not compromise on accuracy of your answers. In your attempt to answer maximum questions you can bring down your score by marking wrong answers.
Practice SNAP test model papers- It is essential that your concepts are clear and your basic fundamentals are very strong. After covering all the topics it is suggested that you should practice as many mock test as possible. Mock test papers are available at several coaching centers as well as educational websites.

The GK section is the deciding factor-The GK section carries the lowest cut off marks among the 4 sections. But you will have to scratch your head for answering this section. Preparation for GK starts almost a year before. Infact, the preparation for group discussion can be done along with the GK preparation. You have to keep yourself updated with the current affairs and national & international topics. This will also help you to build your opinion about a particular topic during group discussions. SNAP is well known for its business GK questions so hope you have prepared well for this section.
CAT is not the last exam so buckle up- Most of the students who apply for exams such as CAT, XAT, SNAP, IIFT, and MAT consider that all the exams cover same topics. As a result, they more or less stop devoting time to studies after CAT. But each exam is different in some or the other way and has its own difficulty level. So buckle up as the exam season is yet not over and start revising your basics and practice mock papers.
Last but not the least do not get tensed and relax yourself. Take proper sleep and have confidence in yourself.
All the Best!!!
