The Russian government is offering an exclusive opportunity to Indian students studying medicine. On the occasion ‘Russia Day’-a Russian Federation national day, universities in Russia have officially declared quotas for Scholarships and admission procedures. Aspirants willing to study in Russia can now avail Scholarships for both, medical and engineering courses.

It is estimated that students from India successfully graduate each year from high-end Russian universities. Over the past two decades Russia has recorded a rise in the amount of international students approaching the Russian Federation. The Consulate General of the Russian Federation in India has recognized 'EDURUSSIA' as the approved admission department of the Russian state and government universities in India for guaranteeing safety for the initiative.

To be eligible for these Scholarships, applying candidates should have an aggregate of 50 percent and above in grade 12. This is in the case of students coming under the general category. The aggregate for the students in reserved category is 40 percent. Theses aggregate percentages are required in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The admission and eligibility to the offered medical courses is in accordance with the Medical Council of India.

Most Russian universities offer MBBS and post-graduate medical courses. Some of the universities that are offering theses courses are I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy, Peoples Friendship University of Russia (Moscow), St. Petersburg I.P. Pavlov State Medical University, Ryazan State I.P. Pavlov Medical University and Nizhny Novgorod State Medical University.
