Australia Proposes Safe Housing for Indian Students
A proposal by the Australian government aims to give separate transportation and safe housing for Indian students studying in Victoria, Australia. The Union Overseas Indian Affairs Minister said that the proposal will be examined by the India-Australia joint working group. This separate housing is meant for all international students studying in Australia, thereby avoiding a ghetto feel.
 The string of attacks on Indian students in the Australian cities of Melbourne and Sydney, have caused a major furors in India. Australian government officials have said that steps are being taken to ensure the safety of students. They have already toughened their laws related to racial crimes.
