Bookmark Share
The University of Western Australia (UWA), a leading research institute, launched 50 scholarships that will include fee discounts and liberal living allowance for meritorious Indian students. A delegation of UWA also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). The MoU seeks to enhance relations between the two by developing academic and cultural exchange in teaching, research and other activities.

Research collaboration in the field of microelectronics already exists between UWA and IISc, and both institutions have won a joint grant under the Australia-India Strategic Funding. The scholarships come as a blessing for Indian students looking to study in Australia at affordable costs. The partnership between UWA and IISc is intended to encourage joint research activities, exchange of university staff and students, exchange of academic material and other information & joint conferences and other meetings subject to available resources and framework of regulations.
